Re-aging Accts, DOFD, DOLA

I have some questions of concerning re-aging accts infor, DOLA, DOFD.

When re-aging acct is where a creditor reports a DOLA different on a closed acct? Example: Open 6/05, Last Payment 9/05, CLOSE 9/05, Reported since 1/08

Do Trans Union go by DOLA or DOFD as the drop off date for 7 yrs point?

Do Experian go by DOLA or DOFD as the drop off date for 7 yrs peak?

Is it correct that the date that EQ go by as the drop off date equal the DOLA?

The open & close date mean nothing!  for drop date  TU and EX use DOFD     EQ uses DOLA

CRTP can be 7 - 7.5 years from DOFD  and is set by the OC

Usually it is a CA that re-ages an account. They may not show DOFD or DOLA. It might show *will remain on account until    month/ year

IF the drop date on CR is later then from OC date   that is reaging!

Re: Re-aging Accts, DOFD, DOLA

Happy,

I want to be SURE I have this correct.  Providian chg'd off an acct 3/03, a JDB bought the acct and listed date OPEN 4/04 - to me this is re-aging but I swear I read somewhere that they (JDB) can list this as 4/04 OPEN because it's NEW to them...

I also want to confirm it really is supposed to read CLOSED if it's a collection account they bought?  DOFD or LA was 9/02...I've been seeing conflicting info on whether or not it can be reported as OPEN, and it's showing on INSTALLMENT, not COLLECTIONSmiley Sad

Thanks!
