Reaching Out Again

OK, I asked this a month ago and had no luck.  So now I am hoping someone joined the forum since then with some information.

I have sent 3 GW letters to Honda Financial to see about removing a baddie, and I still have not received a response.  If someone was successful before with them, please let me know where you sent it and what you said to make it work.

I just want an answer either way.  The waiting sucks!

Thank you!

Re: Reaching Out Again

Sorry John no specific here.

Did you also try writing at Planet Feedback?  I think it's crummy that they didn't even respond to you at all.  I'd combine the GW letter with an appeal to receive some sort of customer service and not keep getting ignored.  Keep it just as nice as a regular written GW.

I do hope though that someone has since come around with more info on who else to send the letter to at Honda or what they wrote that worked.  I know auto financers are particularly tough.

Re: Reaching Out Again

Thanks SmartCookie,

That is the only answer I got when I asked last time (to use PFB), but I am very hesitant on using it.  It seems that PFB is a place to lodge complaints, and it could cause them not to help me.  It is a tough call.

I was hoping to get a name of someone inside of Honda Financial or another address that was successful.  It does suck that they will not even answer me.

Re: Reaching Out Again

This may be a silly question, but are you sending the letters certified? I have found that you get a much better response with certified mail.

Re: Reaching Out Again

I sent the last GW letter certified.  However, I have read repeatedly on this forum to never send a GW letter certified, because it can seem very pushy.  I did the last one out of desperation.

Re: Reaching Out Again

Have you tried to google and find a specific name and address for someone inside Honda? You can also try calling their credit department and ask for the name of management in credit so that you can properly address a letter.

Do a search on these forums for "Honda Financial" . I have seen a few threads regarding them.

I completely hear you and understand you aren't at that point yet.  Poke around with searches for Honda Financial as PP suggested, and bump this thread every week or so.  And yeah.... I would not CM a GW letter either as I think that doesn't come across well... especially when dealing with auto financers who are rough enough.

Thats B.S. advice you received (an acronym from the vernacular there) as far as I am concerned. This is business. Money. This is not a family reunion or Band Camp. This is YOUR credit rating, and you need to act to protect it. "Pushy" has absolutely nothing to do with protecting yourself in a business relationship. If you do not act to protect yourself, who is going to do it for you? No one, that's who.
