Rebate Check and Direct Deposit

So I just spoke with the IRS and they are telling me since I owed taxes this year I would be receiving my check by mail and not Direct Deposit.  My question is has anyone had there rebate direct depostied into there account when the owed taxes this year and the irs took it out of there account directly.

Owed the IRS $ and had them ACH the payment? 

I would have sent a check or paid by CC.

I am sure the IRS is correct and they will send a paper check.

So do they mail a paper check if you owe state taxes? I was hoping to have what was left over direct deposited.

BTW anyone in group 2 get your rebate yet or do you think they will wait until Friday 5/9?

I did have the IRS ACH the money from my account.   I also filled out the information for Direct Deposit.

i'm in group 2 and haven't received anything yet, i'm starting to wonder if i'll maybe just get a papercheck.  i'm getting paranoid.

I'm in group 2...last 2 of ss is 33.  Mine was in my acct this am!  wahoo!  Even tho my cc is getting a bunch of it! I might keep 150 for me.  lick my wounds with a steak & a tottie!
