Received response from one and only collection, need advise on how to reply!

Please be advised we will not be able to honor your request to have this
information deleted from your credit history.

Our policy of credit reporting allows a 60-day grace period from the time we receive an account until
it is reported. If it is paid in full within that period of time it does not get reported.

Our records indicate this account was placed for collection on
August 1, 2007 and remains unpaid to date. We have had previous contact with you on this matter as well.

Regarding your statement concerning debt validation, please be advised that
information has been sent to you twice before in response to your written requests.

Once the appropriate validation has been provided, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) does not require that we respond to subsequent requests for the same information unless said request contains new, relevent information or we have reason to believe said informationdid
not reach its destination.

Appropriate validation was sent to the address you provided in your written correspondence on two separate occasions, namely January 15, 2008 and January 29, 2008. We received no mail return on
either response and nothing we have received from you since that time contains any "new" information.

Should you wish to resolve this account balance now, please remit your
payment to ACEI, PO Box 30096, Alexandria Virginia 22310, referencing your account number. Once your payment has been received and has cleared we will update your credit history to show the balance has been paid in full, however it will continue to appear on your credit history for as long as allowed under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Finally, please be advised as we have been and will continue to be fully compliant with all applicable collection laws, including but not limited to the FDCPA, in our handling of your collection account, we will not continue to correspond with you on this matter unless new, relevent information is brought to our attention.
 Regards,
 Angela Hartman

Yes certainly this is a Medical Collection for $200 and SOL for NC is 3 year on open, written, and oral accounts and 5 years on Promissory notes! My DOFD is 1/2005, it went into collections 8/2007.

If you need anymore info let me know! Thanks for your help!

Have they provided validation?

Is the debt not yours? Are they reporting wrong?

I am unsure what you are trying to do here.

Ok guys here is the rundown i know the debt is mine, so therefore i didnt do DV but ive seen where the experts have said to DV anyway even if you think the debt is yours! This is like my second or third time sending a PFD.

I was sent medical records from the OC where i was seen, but this is what i asked for from the OC not the CA. So i was wondering how can they say ive received validation when i havent asked for it from. I sent a sample PFD letter from here word word basically!

I sent a PFD and they took it as a DV.

So, you are trying to PFD and they are not accepting.

Have you talked to the OC? Tried PFD with OC?

Sounds like they are kind of nasty and aren't willing to do much.

Yea thats way i feel they are treating it like i want validation! And yes i have sent a PFD to OC as well but was returned as undeliverable! I feel that the OC and CA are communicating with each other because they (CA) knew that i received some type of validation! I just gonna keep at it!

I havent had much like with my moms situations either everyone has been declining every letter sent! This can get very discouraging but i know to stay the race! We can win!

It never ceases to amaze me, how collection agencies would rather come out with nothing than to bring something minor to the table (removing the debt from your CR) in exchange for a FULL payment so that both parties come away with something gained from the transaction.

Sheer human stubbornness, I suppose...

Agreed...but also possibly a fear they'll be called out by the CRAs as being in violation of their contracts.  CRAs don't like it when CAs delete accurate information.
