I applied for credit at a car dealership on May 22/2010 (when I replaced my 10 years old car, with a 3 years old car). The Dealership's Financial Center blasted my request for credit and finally found one bank- BK Chapter 7, 2 years + ago. My Credit Score shows 8 inquiries in the same day, and TU seems to have counted them individually.
I tried to dispute the number as they should be seen as 1 inquiry, but I couldn't log in my TU account, as they have suspended the account.
The TU credit Score is 31 points lower than Equifax for example.
How can I get to talk to a real person from TU, unlock my account, and reduce the 8 inquiries from the same day, to 1, please?
Just call them up and speak to someone.
TU office in PA: 800-888-4213
TU: 888-259-6845 (6am-12 pacific time)
TU: 800-916-8800 (consumer relations)
TU Dispute Fax: 610-546-4606, 610-546-4771
The scoring between TU, EQ, and EX can vary because they all use a different scoring formula even with the exact same information on all 3 reports.
Good Luck
i dont see this, in any way, as being an issue between you and the creditor or busness that made the credit pull, or with the CRA for providing it.
They have permissible pull authority under FCRA 604(a) for credit pulls for any credit transaction that you intitate, and for any business transaction you initiate.
How it is scored by Fair Isaac is a different matter, and not regulated by the FCRA. FICO, in its published statements, does what is called "de-duping" in their scoring of multilple inquiries made for auto or mortgage laon shoppng during certain windows, but that is purely a FICO scoring decision.
That is not a condiseration made by the CRAs, and thus not a basis for any FCRA complaint. YOu might want to call Fair Isaac.to compalin, if they are not "de-duping" these inquiries in your credit scoring.
