Recurring Entry on CR

An entry on my credit report from CA "NCO" had been on my CR for over 7 years (since Aug 2000).  I disputed in September 2007 and was successful in having it removed from my CR.  Then in November another entry appeared from CA "Asset Assurance" relating to the same OC (I guess the debt was sold).  I disputed again and the entry was successfully removed at all three CRAs.  Now just yesterday "Asset Assurance" has appeared again for the same account!!!

How do I get this to go away once and for all?  Please tell me that I don't have to file dispute every month!

Re: Recurring Entry on CR

Hey gang. Been away for a bit but ready to get back on track. Had a similar situation come up over the holidays.

Back in September I DV'd and Disp a dept for $187 from Asset Acceptance that was due to drop off in April 2012. It was deleted within a day... I was happy.

I got an alert on Xmas eve stating that I had a new major derog from a new CA (Harvard) for the same debt. I never recieved anything in writing from either the old or the new CA, and I know this for sure since I learned on this site to DV every new letter that comes in immediately. Are there any template letters out there that can be used to dispute this? Should OP and I just DV and Disp again? I guess they have a couple more days to "notify" me by law so I will at least wait til the end of the week. I'm also wondering if I am taunting the beast since it is still within SOL. Thoughts anyone?

Have had a similar nightmare. Had a timeshare w/EX and sold back to TS company in 2000. Have since been plagued by CA (Meridian) over HOA fees. Had item removed, but was recently reinserted (under a different acct # and $ amt) on TU and EXP. I have looked back at my CRs over the past several years and noticed that they continue to change account numbers and $ amts. How does one combat this? I don't want to continue to dispute w/CRAs every month either.

Notify your AG and start complaints to the FTC on them for violations.  Consider suing them... that  sounds like quite a few violations.  Keep good records of everything that is going on and off of your CBRs.  DV everything as soon as you become aware of it.
