Removal of a paid collection?

I was reading old posts about this.  Did anyone have success with this?

Yes  many have had late payments & other paid debts deleted.

I just had NCO remove a collection.  Yippee!!  Also had three CO accounts and a few lates deleted.  It doesn't work with all companies, but I've had several good things happen that offset the rejections.

i tweeked a GW letter that was posted on the boards and had CBCS( medical collections) removed from all 3 reports, took about 3 weeks to get a reply in the mail, but deletions only took about 2 weeks.

So, from what i can tell it looks like there is two ways to go about this.  Tell me if I am wrong.

1. DV with the CB's and hope.

2. GW the CA directly and hope.

you can't DV a CB(CRA) -- DV is for CAs only.

I guess you could DV the CA and if they validate then GW.. they may not waste the time on a paid account and just remove.

Ok I misunderstood.  So my only option is to send GW letter and hope they will remove it?

Yes usually if it is a paid debt
