Removing/Bumping Hard INQURIES.........!?!?!

I need advise on removing/bumping hard INQUIRIES on my CR!!!

At the end of last year I had several due to the fact that my car was stolen and I had to get a loan for a new one and unfortunately the dealership I went to ran a Credit Check with "7" different banks (which at the time was good for me as it gave me more options on getting a loan and more to choose from so I could get the best one, but is hurting my score now of course) and I had done a few checks online prior to going to the dealership so I have a lot of recent inquires on my CR now that is hurting my score!

Isn't there something like "soft inquires" that I can do to get the "hard inquires" to drop off???  I remember seeing something about that before in a forum.

Any advise is much appreciated.......thank you!!!  =)

Not really...are these really yours and you want them off...you know home and car loans ran in a 14 day period are counted as one right...they might not be hurting you as much as you think...

Re: Removing/Bumping Hard INQURIES.........!?!?!

Yeah I have about "10" hard inquries all in 11/07 for the car loan inquries.......then another in 1/08 for a personal loan and another in 4/08 a loan increase that was denied............a total of 19 in all!!!

The reason I thought it may be hurting my Credit Score is because a receiveed denial on my loan increase request and they said one of the factors was my "inquires" which I have seen before in the past.

This post is extremely old, you won't find any of the original posters replying on it.  The potential downfall of this situation certainly trumps the little benefit you might get.  Often you will get split files or bump off good TLs before you see any significant affect of removing Inqs.  Not a good idea by any means.

Old thread but this must be said.....

Yes, you can 'bump' inquires. A simple google search can provide how. However, bumping inquires are useless. They can be expensive, time-consuming and potentially open you up to a bunch of problems with the CBs (i.e., split file, unable to retrive file, etc.). You'll be dealing with the CBs for the rest of your lives, so it's best not to do any shady stuff like this. Besides, there is another agency which tracks MC/Visa CC applications, so theoretically you'll still be 'denied' for 'too many inquiries', even if they are 'bumped/removed' from your file.

Re: Removing/Bumping Hard INQURIES.........!?!?!

No, I had a concern with 3 different moniring services I have. One is though fico then capitol one. I also have a free one. Then I just got a discovery. I dont want any problems with it. I had read how damage it could do. I just never spoke with anyone who did it. So I was wanting to know. If all the information I read was correct.

Also seeing if I would have problems with the service I have. Making me get the big red flag on my report.
