Removing myself as an Authorized User

Hello and welcome. I've split off your post to start a new thread within General Credit Topics. All I've changed is the title.

HI! I was wonderiing if its good to remove myself as Auhtorized User from my mother since i have my own credit card now.  My AU is 13yrs & 7months while my individual account is 1yr & 4months. Based on my history will it damage greatly my credit score even if i have a history of my own for a short time? Is it good to remove myself as AU or let my own account build a little further? My AU is max out and feared of affecting my score while my own account are just average use like 30-50% revolving credit. Pls help some advice on what to do. Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions. =D

I would be removing self as AU if its maxed out as you say. The age of history is only 15% of score, utilization of revolving credit is 30%. Some creditors leave the line reporting with a notation of 'relationship terminated' and 0 out the balance.

Plus your score will then become usable by those wishing to see your personal score.

Based on the details you have given, I would remove myself as an AU.

Picking nits but you are the AU.  The account itself is not an AU.  Your AU would be someone authorized to use your account.
