Well, from my experience, the update times seem to be whenever the CRAs durn well feel like it! 
It took TU roughly a month to update our SL balance (had paid $5K to bring it current). Our SL servicer updated TU on May 31st, TU updated THEIR system June 21st. Our big payment showed on EQ & EX roughly around June 4th.
Most lenders/CCCs seem to update the CRAs at the end of each month. But as always, YMMV.
