Responcse to GW from Chase

Hello all

Today I recived my response from Chase, I had settle with them half of what did own last year

they reparted to the 3 CRA that I had paid settle but paid the half. Then they put a big CO on all three

here is the letter that thay sent me:

Thank you for your recent inquiry in wich you asked us to update information that currently appears in your credit bureau report.  It's important to us that we promptly respond to your concern.

We have confirmed with the three (3) major bureaus, ex, eq, and tr that the above referance accouunt is reporting accurate information. the account was settled in full on 10/25/06.

Regretfully, we are unable to remove the negative information reporting on your account.

to preserve the integrity of the credit bureaus reporting system, we are unable to alter valid information reporting to the bureaus. We may not change information unless it is reported in error

mmmm, very intresting letter, can i show this letter to the 3 credit bureau gods to show Chase has recived full payment and not a charge off?

I would try a second GW letter. Make it a response to their letter, and include a photocopy of their letter. Gist you wanna convey is, "I hear what you're saying, however, I ask you to reconsider."

You could reply to the person that said no, or send it to the same address you used first time. There's also Email or PFB. Trying a different avenue for GW might yield a better answer.
