Does anyone have any experience with these guys?
I recieved a collection notice from a rental car toll violation from a company rental last year that apparently my company couldn't afford to pay. Don't work for them anymore so figure it is just best for me to pay it and be done with it.
I keep trying to pay online and it is telling me it can't find my account information. The charge is only $51 and I know exactly when it occurred. Just want to make sure if I call and pay it that I am over and done with it.
Thanks
Under the new CRA policy set forth in the National Consumer Assistance Plan, the CRAs will no longer include collections that are based on a debt that was not the subject of any contract or agreement with the named consumer, which included tolls and motor vehicle tickets.
If it is reported, you can get it removed by notifying the CRA that the debt reported in the collection is based on a toll, and request its removal under their new policy statement in the National Consumer Assistance Plan.
Of course, paying is admirable, but remember that potential credit reporting should not be an issue.
Interesting... I wasn't aware of that. This is the first time I have ever dealt with a collection.
It hasn't shown up on my CR yet, so I am thinking I was given the option to pay it on the first notice before they reported? Either that or it just hasn't been enough time. I still went ahead and paid it, but that is good information to have if it does hit the report.
Thanks!
