SOL Confusion

Can someone please explain the whole SOL thing?   I know for GA it is 4 years.  So does that mean that they can't come after you for a debt that is more than 4 years old??  I have a medical collection that has a date assigned of 06/2003 and a last payment date of 04/2004.   It's only $200 and I haven't paid it off yet but I'm just trying to figure out the best course of action on this since it is showing as "Derogatory" on my credit reports.

In some states there is no SOL on hospital bills. BUT other medical has SOL and can be either open accounts or promissary notes......GA can be either BUT  SOL is re-aged with any payment!!!

So your SOL would start with last payment in 2004.

SOL has nothing to do with CR  that is federal  CRTP

CRTP v SOL

You would have started SOL with date of service or DOLA.   DOLA was changed to 2004 because of payment.
