SOL question

Is there a time limit to reporting a negative info?  Does it have to drop off after a certain amount of time.  Everything I have read about SOL seems to talk about suing and judgements.

I have a few old accts. that I would love to see dissapear.  One is from 1998...another is from 2000...I did end up filing BK and included them..does this re-age them to the filing date? (Filed Oct.2002 disch.3/03)  Thanks!

Re: SOL question

Hi sunrise,  you are dealing with federal and state law when it comes to your CR. SOL is set by the state.....In order to have a judgment the creditor must file suit in state court!

When it comes to your CR and timing the federal law is in place = CRTP

In Florida the SOL (state statue of limitation) On a CC is 4 years....means that the creditor (CCC) can not file a suit for a judgment against  you after 3 years from DOLA.   It WILL still remain on your CR for 7-7.5 years from DOFD or DOLA
