Any idea about Maryland, or where I can find that information?  It should not restart the clock on time it will drop off reports though, right?

NOTE: The 3 year statute of limitations begins again if creditors can document that a debtor has reaffirmed a debt by a good faith basis by a written agreement, orally, or by payment

Re: SOL question

Great, I just called to set up arrangments with them since i can't pay in full.  Now I'm scared if I miss a payment, they will take me to court....because now they can.  I just wanted to do the right thing.  If I had let it go, it would have dropped off next June and they couldn't have sued.  I'm such a dummy.

It is a untility bill with DOFD of 7/01.  TU has it due to fall off 6/08.  Of course, with that date, it is also past SOL.  However, since I have contacted by phone and made arrangments, it begins that time period over.  They will only send me something in writing after I make my first payment.  I did not PFD because I figured it will probably drop off my report before I get it paid anyway.  I offered them a really low monthly amount...something I was pretty sure I could handle.  But "things" sometimes have a way of happening that may prevent that.
