SOL what does it mean

I was looking at the sol for my state. Med is 2 yrs and contract is 5. What do I do with this info tho? It wont help my cr, right? so what is it good for. Sorry if I sound stupid, but I really dont understand. Also I give up on a cc. I tried Orchard and Hooters both declined. What really gets me, is my score is at or above some of the people that is approved. They have bk 7 and 13, I dont, but still get denied. I dont get it

Re: SOL what does it mean

SOL is very important because they can't sue you (and obtain a judgement) after SOL has passed.  Gives you a lot of leverage in dealing with them in the case that you would want to PFD.

what state are you in?    we need to know what is on your CR in order for us to advise you.
List all baddies   age of credit hx    dates are important   we need to know if you have CO, late payments  everything.

What is your FICO scores?

This thread has a lot of info. for newbies!

If past SOL   there are several ways to try & clean up CR  and you do not need to worry about being sued!

If not past SOL you need to be careful & be ready to pay CO, either in full or part.

RUSTY   what state are you in or what is your SOL?????  There is no 2 year SOL

the collection from 2002 might be past SOL.  The date turned over or sold to a CA doesn't matter.DOFD still stands!

Yes the OC can report along with one CA....same time.

Call ins. company & have them check those bills!!  If they were never filed  you are in a different ball
park.

Did you dispute, send OC letter or DV  before PFD???
