Score Amendment?

My score dropped 41 points last month due to a collection report that was erroneously reported. I've cleared everything up with the credit bureaus and it has been removed. How do I go about getting my 41pts back? The credit bureaus say call FICO, but FICO says call the credit bureause they just simply provide the formula!!! Should I wait to see if these points come back? Please advise.

Re: Score Amendment?

I believe you need to wait for the reporting cycle to complete and the new scores should update. Technically, once the information changes, it immediately triggers new calculations based on whatever model they use and it should be updated but I have been told it can take up to a full cycle to catch up again.

Re: Score Amendment?

As soon as the collection is removed you should be able to purchase a new FICO score and it will reflect the change.

Re: Score Amendment?

Yes, there isn't much you can really do aside from ordering a new score.  It should update automatically.
