The ONLY time a balance decrease can cause a score drop is if it's your ONLY reported balance and it drops to $0 (and reports as $0). Yes, decreasing balances is always a great thing!
Your balance decrease simply triggered an alert and you were provided with a new score, but the new score and the alert reason have nothing to do with each other.
