Score Monitoring

Hi Guys,

I'd like to monitor my score regularly, any suggestions. When I checked it last I used the Experian website, the score report was 7.95

They have a few offers for monitoring.... They have one that I believe is quarterly for 4.95 I am not sure if this includes the score and credit report or not.

Re: Score Monitoring

Credit monitoring and watching your FICO scores are different things.

There are many services available for monitoring your credit reports. That is when you are alerted by new accounts, you can track your reported balances, etc. Some of these monitoring services provide scores. You need to be careful that these are FICO scores. Most credit monitoring services don't sell FICO scores, they sell other scores that are called FAKO scores on this forum. Those scores do not correlate to your FICO scores.

You can get your Equifax FICO scores from this site and directly from the Equifax site. You can get your TransUnion FICO here or from transunioncs.com (note the 'cs'). Experian does not allow its FICO scores to be sold to consumers, so most of us can only get TU and EQ.

I use the Score Watch here to get my EQ FICO scores and watch my reports, and I use Quarterly Monitoring here for TU FICO scores and reports. Neither of those services allow you to pull your reports daily, weekly, etc...but I don't need that level of availability. Most posters here have worked out a system of monitoring reports and FICO scores that works for them.

Re: Score Monitoring

I use a combination of myFICO Score Watch and TrueCredit. You can daily pull a TU change report from TC. Serves my purposes pretty well.

Re: Score Monitoring

I am considering the TU Quarterly Monitoring through myFICO, & just paying every 3 mos. for simultaneous EQ FICO...

Is this most cost-effective for periodic monitoring?  (I'm cash-strapped!)

Re: Score Monitoring

Depends what you are trying to catch. If it is just scores it is fine. If it is something appearing on one of your CBR's it probably isn't.

Re: Score Monitoring

If you have access to USAA they have a daily pull service for all 3 CR.  Cost $12 a month.  I love it.  I pull every morning

I have the same, and love it!!  I am not as attached to the scores yet because its more whats on my credit than tweaking the scores every day.  So daily pulls of the reports are great, and you get FAKO scores with those.  When I get to where I am needing to tweak my scores I will use the myFICO products to pull them monthly.
