Score dropped after erroneous judgement removed??

So, Equifax finally decided that after a year of trying to convince them that their listing of a judgement against me was incorrect, THEY DELETED IT.  However, I got a notice from Score Watch this morning saying my score DROPPED 2 points, indicating a negative item 60 days or more past due.  Now, granted, there are some charged-off accounts on my repord--no need to harp on that.  But, there is NOTHING currently past due on an active account.  How is it they dropped my score??

Re: Score dropped after erroneous judgement removed??

I guess this is the reason:

You moved from one category of credit users to another as time passed. For example, you may have transitioned from the category "consumers with a new credit history" to the category "consumers with a two- to five-year credit history". As a result, your credit report is evaluated differently, causing a slight change in your score. The good news is that moving between categories like this usually offers you the potential to reach a higher FICO® score in the future.

I must have moved from the "customers with charge-offs but no public records" category also known as "customers who we will say are not credit worthy, even though we now realize that we have at least falsely accused him of one thing..."

Re: Score dropped after erroneous judgement removed??

You very well might have moved into a new credit catagory, we call "buckets".

We lump all unknown changes that occur, everything else remaining status quo, into new buckets. Smiley Happy

And that unto itself usually results in score drops.
