Re: ScoreWatch, you odd little beast...

WoW its never done that for me! I have the Equifax ScoreWatch and not Myfico Scorewatch, so i dont know if thats what you are referring to! It just always say "ScoreWatch Alert"!

School- if you actually have a score change associated with the alert, it will tell you the amount in the email/text you receive.
For example: "ScoreWatch alert (-4)" will be the title
or: "ScoreWatch alert (+35)"

If there is no score difference from the change, it will simply say "ScoreWatch alert" without the difference posted Smiley Happy

This way, you don't have to pay for any more pulls when there's no score change associated!

That is just odd... all of mine have come with a + or - so I know how major the change was.. then it's on me to order my other two reports to see how/if they were affected as well.

Guess this just reinforces my post title!

Understood, but when you log in to truecredit, your credit files are scanned for any changes and you can pull your credit report every 24 hrs and that also updates your FAKO scores which is what I have been doing (it's like a small addiction). In my experience so far, any change + or - to my FAKO scores has resulted in a change to my FICO scores. So i guess it all varies from person to person.

That scan thing in TC is garbage. I have had accounts added and removed. I can see this when I click view reports. For example, had 12 accounts for TU, now it shows 10. I never received an alert and the "scanner" missed it.

Re: ScoreWatch, you odd little beast...

I never recieved a score watch alert for actions from last week or never got a alert that my score went above my target score. But now my spouse got updated alerts this am. so i am not sure what is up

Re: ScoreWatch, you odd little beast...

The reason that the TC FAKO scores happily change on a daily basis if they feel like it is that TC isn't having to pay for using the FICO formula. The CRA's charge for pulling FICO's, and that's why myFICO can't come up with an affordable 3-in-1 monitoring service.

Interesting about the Equifax version of ScoreWatch not reporting the number of points change! (And if someone does get an alert of +35, please forward it to me! I could use a jump like that, lol.)

As to the frequency that ScoreWatch looks for changes, I have Barry's post about this in my siggy below --click on "Score Watch Alerts."

Re: ScoreWatch, you odd little beast...

And of all things, for this recent alert in OP, SW actually alerted me TWO days before TC did! Now that is odd...

Here is my SW +35 for ya:

Re: ScoreWatch, you odd little beast...

Isn't is so pretty! However, I've also gotten:

Score Watch Alert (FICO score change: - [25]) <------ that one was a bummer

but it was quickly followed in a few days by these:

Yaaay!

Am I the only one who gets them like this???

Mmmmmm... +35... mmmm...

You're getting the big swings because of all the dramatic changes you've been making in your credit profile. Once you get to my stage, you'll be ever-so-excited about a 2-point swing, lol.

Re: ScoreWatch, you odd little beast...

Oh I know, hauling. I imagine this is probably the end of the big swings. Considering I was in the mid-500's when I began, all those giant steps still leave my score in the "haaa-haaa!" range.

Although, finally having the 6 90-180 day late notations in 2005-2006 from Sallie Mae may result in a bit of a jump still. I sure as heck can't wait for that to happen.. calling on Monday to find out why it hasn't corrected yet..
