It is the Equifax score that keeps going down for no apparent reason. When I do a FICO request from this site for all three the results are below
TU 12/5 678 12/18 708
EQ 12/5 647 12/18 638
EX 12/5 670 12/18 670
Equifax keeps dropping and that is the one that this site uses on Scorewatch. What about the others from MyFico. Don't they count???
My EQ has been at 698 for over a year. I had inqs drop off, two cards turned a year, never late, etc, etc.
EX is 714 EX PLUS is 761!!!!
TU is 733
P Fico is 731.
I cannot get EQ up to 700
BK in '99
Maybe EQ is really Bk sensitive.........more so than the others. I had a BK in 2001. The others keep going up and haven't dropped at all. It just seems hard to get that one up. My Mortgage company only reports to TU which is part of the problem I think.
Thanks
If you paid off an old collection that can do funky things w/ the reporting dates. Did you notice a comment about the date of your collection changing?
I have two old paid collections and I'm scared to do anything with them for this reason alone. They're aging gracefully and will be gone in 2 years. EQ reports two, TU reports one and neither appear on EX. My scores stay pretty close despite the differences.
Hope that helps.
Annie I have no idea why your EQ won't move. I know they deleted 3 of my oldest accounts so that explains why my EQ is 11 points lower than my EX and 22 points under my current TU score. Recheck the open dates on all your accounts. Before I started rebuilding my scores were EQ 682 TU 682 EX 674. This was nearly 20 months ago and with a 56% utilization. BK 7 was 7 years old at the time. Now my scores are EQ 693 TU 715 EX 704. Way too many accounts opened since April 2007.
