Scorewatch +34 points....but how?

I have a charge off from chase and its CA (JDB) and another CA for a BOA checking.

I have 2 revolving and an AU account (not showing on EQ) all with 9% UTL. My accounts are just 3 months old.

My score after the last months reporting on EQ was 569.

Today there was an alert for an ATT wireless inquiry and also my score went up 34 pts to 603. No idea whatsoever.

Inquiries didn't drop off, no new accounts added or removed, negatives still as they were...etc. Also, April hasn't updated my accounts yet and hence, essentialy my accounts are just as they all were last month but for this inquiry. Any clues?

To clarify...did you have a chance to pull a new EQ report from somewhere?

My first guess would be the "newness" of the new accounts wearing off. I typically lose 20-25 pts per new TL added. I've typically seen score boosts beginning around month #3 as those points begin to come back. It would also coincide with your SW alert. While the alerts don't tell the full picture, it could have coincided with the first of the month when your accounts aged by a bit more.

Hmm...I haven't pulled my EQ yet. I was going to wait for a couple of weeks more to pull TU/EQ.

Ive got couple of CCs from Jan 1st week and thats when their statements cut too. The CRAs update between 12th and 18th.  So far Jan, feb have been reported. March will be reported/updated in the next weeks. So The accounts are technically only two months old?

Theres a collection account which is listed as an OPEN account by the CA on my EQ. I had sent out a second DV pointing that out among other possible violations. Perhaps they could have moved the listing to collections bringing down the UTL.

Knowing my reports as they are, I think most likely its the new accounts aging as you said. There seems to be nothing else. Darn! My spiegel card is going to report for the first time this month and thats gonna take away those points again! I had apped for that for a CC mix. I hope I get another huge score bump at 6 months.

Re: Scorewatch +34 points....but how?

Well. It could be something else altogether. I have this negative account. Its a BOA checking which went negative $124 in 2006. FBCS is asking me 822 for it and I sent out CMRRR to CRAs disputing the balance. They received the mail on April 2nd and the scores went up on april 6th. So I am guessing it could also be because the account is in 'dispute' status and hence not considered by FICO for scoring purposes and would lose the points back after 30 days whhen the account comes back as verified.
