Scoring Question

OK, I checked my (myfico.com) scores today.  They are

TU: 631

EQ: 598

EX: 637

According to freecreditreport.com today, my EX score is 561.  Yikes, thats a HUGE difference.  I know  fico.com scores are accurate but why the HUGE difference for the same exact info?

PS: I started out with a EQ of 523 in 12/08!

Because it is NOT the same information. It is different. FCR doesn't use a FICO score or formula in their products. They use a different formula that tries to copy or emulate FICO. Ignore their scores.

Your real FICO can go up while your FAKO goes down and vice-versa. Using FCR's scores as an example, my last CA was removed off of my CRs last summer. My EX FICO shot up 58 points. My EX FAKO from FCR dropped 8 points. Go figure.

But trying to correlate FICOs and FAKOs will drive you nuts. Best to ignore FAKOs.
