Secured Card Options

I am looking to get a secured card, but I have several things working against me. I am not eligible for any of the good ones because I am on Chex Systems, thus the bank cards are not an option (BofA, WAMU, Wells Fargo). Any suggestions???. I already have a Premiere Bank Card (which I hate) but I need something else that no matter how bad my score is, I will be approved. Other than a secured card, is there any other way to start re-build credit?

Thanks a Million!!!

Re: Secured Card Options

my advice would be to try WF, BOA, or National City. i openend a checking account at BOA after i was reported to chexsystems. they did check my EX CR but that was it.

i had this same question it seems like you are asking....and you will not be denied a secured CC just because you are in chex systems. in my opinion.....National City is the easiest to get, Wells Fargo next in line, and BOA is probably the tougher secured account to get...but give it a try.

that is much better than paying fees to subprime bad credit credit cards!

Re: Secured Card Options

also, what are your credit scores? if your score is in the 500s you might be able to get a Capital One starter card....

Re: Secured Card Options

I am not even close to 500. I think that I burned my bridge with the banks, had credit cards and accounts with BofA, Wells and they were charged off. It looks like National City it is. If anyone thinks that is a bad idea, please stop me!!
