Secured card

I am thinking about getting a secured card to add positive card ,my question is would get 2 cards at 500 limit each or 1 for 1000.New millieum bank is offering the 2 card deal any thoughts?

If you have $0 CCs, then I'd start with one, let that report, recheck FICOs, then go for the second. Lather, rinse and repeat for the third.

 

I have not heard anything good about MB. I'd go for a BofA secured, Citibank, or go with your local bank or CU. And yes, if you can squeak $1000, then it is better. You can control your utilization a little better and you'll likely be approved for higher CLs in the future.
