I Think that it's hurting my credit score really bad. They are TL from about 1999 and 2000. I have some TL that are a lot older than does 3. I want it off so that I can get a better credit card with a low APR and refi on my house with a low APR thats all. I have a low UTL on the  credit cards( 15%) that I have.

Re: Send or not to send GW Letter

Maybe one of our pros can give you some better ideas of how this is affecting your scores.  I filed bk7 in 2001, discharged 2002 and I asked if the accounts that were discharged were still hurting my scores and this was about a year before your stuff, and I was told no.  Kool, I just want for you to make a good choice, weighing all the options and being confident in your decision.  I think I am like a mama on this board, always got something to say and hopefully its helping someone.

Good fortune to you either way you decide to go.

Re: Send or not to send GW Letter

Well I did send( FAXED) the GW Letter and it worked very very well I got them( or they did) to take off the late payment on the 3 accounts and now they show up as  Pays account as agreed. No late payment for me now on my CR.I got a  fico scorewatch alert on my cell phone it said that my scores jumped  +39 point (WOW). Thanks PPL for the help
I love this Forum. Thanks all

Great Job

This is a classic example of how a GW is supposed to work.  I am impressed.

Thanks.  I was hoping I could get a fax # for Wells Fargo Financial Acceptance (auto loan.)  Anybody else have one?

Re: Send or not to send GW Letter

Would you consider putting up the letter(s) you wrote? I'm still debating whether or not I should send out some GWs...

Re: Send or not to send GW Letter

Hi tessarue

This is what I sent to WFF. I did talk to them on the phone and they said to fax the letter and they will remove negetive items so I just had to take their word on it but I did have a tape recorder hooked up to my phone so that I could use later if need be. They were really nice to me on the phone.

DEAR CREDIT DISPUTE DEPARTMENT:

I am disputing the following accounts with WELL FARGO FINANCE

1.123-456-78

2. 0987-654-4321

I have been a WELL FARGO FINANCE customer since 1999 and during that time, I have enjoyed my experience with WELL FARGO FINANCE greatly. I am writing to see if you would be willing to make a "goodwill" adjustment to your reporting to the three credit agencies. I have late payments on the above referenced account that date back to 1999. Since that time I have been an exceptional customer paying every month on time.

Because of my exceptional payment history over the last 5 years, I would like you to consider removing the negative payments from my credit report..

With today’s credit industry so competitive, I know how important it is to maintain good relationships with customers. WELL FARGO FINANCE  has been exceptional in my book so far and I highly recommend it to all my friends and relatives. I hope that you will deeply consider my request and prove once again, why WELL FARGO FINANCE is heads above the rest. I look forward to your reply. Your customer service representative suggested that I write you for an adjustment.” I sincerely hope that there is redemption at WELL FARGO FINANCE, and I beg you for such consideration” .Please let me know if any additional documentation would assist in reaching a positive outcome, and I thank you again for the time you have spent reading this letter. I can be reached at 123-456-7890 or email: Kooliad@Yahoo.com

Sincerely,
