 Just FYI.....just because they say it was verified does not mean it was done so properly, or done at all. I disputed a balance that was paid in full, and the Credit Bureau was still posting it as having a balance, so I disputed.  They came back and said the balance was verified. The only thing that changed on my report was the date of last payment. I made the payment in full on 05/14/2007, yet they posted date of last payment as 06/2007, and STILL had a balance.  I called them (the CB) and asked how this was so, as I paid it in full. She stuttered for a moment and then started another investigation. Still waiting for the results of that one...... 


Good point! Perhaps the OP could even consider an MOV letter if they are unsuccessful with the DV. This is Noah's thread, very good!

Just remember if you DV it's the OC and if you MOV it's the CRA.

Absolutely, I wrote everything down and stuck it in my wallet!!!  I will let you know how everything turns out.
