Simple question on utilization and student loans

Simple Question on utilization, and figuring out percentages. I only have one credit card with a 3500 limit. The balance is zero. I have a student loan for 40,000. So does the student loan debt somehow factor into the utilization figure? or is this only for credit card debt? If I have zero balance on the credit card then would this mean my util is zero percent? Is this large loan hurting my score because I only have a 3,500 credit limit compared to 40k worth of debt? The 40k loan is being paid ontime and in good standing. Thanks

Re: Simple question on utilization and student loans

Someone correct me if I am wrong. I don't believe the student loans figure into utility. They should be listed under installments. The best you can do is keep paying them on time.

Re: Simple question on utilization and student loans

They do not (or should not) count as util but will count in your debt to income ratio, as i have learned recently Smiley Happy
