Slow reporting is driving me crazy

So I'm waiting on several updates to hit. 5 CCs were paid off at the end of December. My cap1 journey was at 70% utilization and with my last payment to them ot should bring my % down to just below 40%. BofA card should go from around 40% to 0% utilization. Additionally, I had 2 charge offs that were scheduled to fall off. I can pull an updated report on the 14th to see officially whats happened. Usually in the past, my payments pop up on the alerts and scores show either up or down accordingly, but these guys haven't updated a single thing since mid-month reporting for December. Really have my fingers crossed that I see some big jumps up to the 700 threshold.

You can pull all 3 credit reports for free weekly (no scores) through annual credit report to see if there are any changes.

If the accounts were due to age off this month, they should have already. With the exception of Experian. If you are going off of their "on record until" date, it could take until the end of the month.

The Annual Credit Report reports will also spell out exactly which month they are due to age off for TU and EX. EQ will list "date of first delinquency" add 7 years to that date. It will likely fall off a month or two prior to then.

I also found straight through Transunion website you can pull your CR from them every 24 hours (also no score) to check for updates as long as you have no dispute pending. They also will list "estimated date of removal" on those reports.

Good luck!

Most accounts report just once a month, so just compare today's date to when it reported last month then add 2-4 days for "processing" on the bureau side to know when you'll see changes reflect. Sounds like you made some big payments, what is your total utilization looking like? How many cards are carrying a balance now?

If you want fast reporting look at Chase (as soon as you pay to $0) or Sync (whenever you make a purchase sometimes!).

Re: Slow reporting is driving me crazy

@ccquest with my most recent payments I should be sitting at 15% aggregate utilization across all cc. Only 2 have a balance right now. Both at around 40% uti. I also have my motorcycle loan thats only about 30% paid. Once I get the cc to azeo and lower the uti appropriately, I'll begin paying down that balance. Other than that I have no personal debt. Just a bunch of co's with $0 balances that I'm waiting to age off. Just initiated disputes with my student loans that were discharged last year due to a 100% total and permanent VA rating. They were discharged, but still showing on my report as derogatory because I had a few missed payments. My goal is simply to break the 700 threshold for now.

Re: Slow reporting is driving me crazy

That should definitely be getting you some growth then! The next individual account utilization threshold is 30% so once you get both there that might help, then again for 10% aggregate.

Best of luck on your journey to 700!
