A CSR, might be able to offer some better advice, like why the online app just spins?

Some Lenders are able to pre-Qualify you over the phone, if it is in their system.

Wish I could give you more solid answers.

Hi MF Community,

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but how does a pre-qualification/Pre-Approval work.

my score was FICO 8 EQ:660 Trans:646 EX:702 at the time of the Pre-Approval.

My Score as of 9/8 FICO 8 EQ:660 Trans:635 EX:683 (score dropped because of CU and Self lending loan reported to all 3 CB)

Just a note of caution. I am currently gardening and needed to scratch an itch so I did a pre-qual through Kay Jewelers. I did not complete the full application and stopped the process once I got past the pre-qual screen. I thought it was fishy that they did not tell me if I pre-qualified and immediately asked me to complete the full application. I did not fill out the full application and closed the website. Next thing I know I am getting a notification that they did a hard pull!!!! WITHOUT ME FILLING OUT THE APPLICATION. You may want to remove them from the list of soft pull pre approvals. I am about to call Equifax and dispute this. Super frustrating.

Pretty decent for them lately. They're offering me $3500 on a new card. CLIs are a HP, have to call, would wait 9 months before asking. They shot me down for the account being too new at 6 months. 

Some lucky people get auto CLIs. My card will be 2 in December and it hasn't happened for me.

iirc, Jared also is a hp now.  Discussed several pages back.  There is a "Heads Up" on these two.  Sorry that happened and gl getting the hp removed.  annoying to say the least.
