Soft-pull PREAPPROVALs - Updated 4/20/21

I thought most pre-app soft pull forms were just pre-quals.  This one at Discover asks for full Social and says "Approval" yet "Will not hurt your credit score."  So on this and others like it, it must be a soft pull.  I'm surprised you can get approved on a soft pull.

My question is, would the soft pull always be "fresh" and check your current score, or if you tried he app again within a certain time will they just revert back to the soft pull results the last time you tried it?

I think I saw somewhere a list of links for pre-qual forms?  Is there a list of pre-approval soft pull forms?

Not sure if this was shared before but think it's worth mentionning. For optimal results I would clear cache/history or try a different browser before trying to pre-qualify a second time. Kept trying to pre-qualify and kept getting instant denials and found that strange so tried with a different browser and boom! 3 offers!

Just an FYI. I just tried to get a prequel. I was not approved but they did show me what they looked at. 

They did an Experian FICO 9 soft pull. 

most still do FICO 8 but BBVA does 9.

HSBC and Denver Community Credit Union deleted the prequalification of their cards. Other credit cards with prequalification are:

-Alphaeon credit card (Comenity Capital Bank).

-American Eagle Financial Credit Union credit card.

-Gesa Credit Union credit card.

-Credit cards issued by Fortiva Retail Credit for these companies:

Aspire Mastercard Cash Back Reward card issued by The Bank of Missouri has pre-qualification. This card has high fees and CL between $350 and $1,000. Rewards: 1% - 3%.
