Re: Soft pulls from existing creditors with locked reports

Try unfreezing it, initiating the service, and then refreezing it. Sometimes to begin a CMS service, it has to be unfrozen. I cannot explain why it does that sometimes, but try that and you may be good. Once it starts you should be good. I know people that had to do that with certain CMSs. It’s worth a try.

Actually upon reflecting, the reason maybe the CMS service pulls it under a different name than the lender does for account reviews. I’ve noticed my account pulled by variations of the names of various lenders that I have credit monitoring through.

That's an interesting catch. It just didn't make sense, if they have the capability and they are sitting there, staring at your report, why require an unfreeze?

Re: Soft pulls from existing creditors with locked reports

For instance I have pulls by several different departments at AmEx. And I’ve noticed variations of names at other creditors with CMSs as I said previously, so I have no clue if that’s the reason but it would make sense.

Plus this is something that you are requesting as opposed to a permissible purpose such as account review. You are initiating this not them.
