Hello All,
I am in need of some credit tips/helps....i have 2 charge offs that are supposed to come off my credit report mid 2015. Is there any way to get these off my credit report early? Also, i have some late payments from awhile back and is there anyway to get those off as well? I am looking to buy a house soon and im in progress of cleaning up my credit. Any ideas? Any and all help would be soooo appreciated! Thank you in advance!
Oh this forum will have everything you need! I would take advantage of the search feature :-) look for things like early exclusion for you baddies a
that are falling off soon and Good Will letters to ask creditors to help you out with the lates on your report. You will find a vast amount of information on how to handle both! I can't say thank you enough to all the people who have contributed to all the knowledge found on these boards! Welcome and GL with your new home!!
I appreciate your help nax and i have heard alot of GREAT things about this forum!
Anytime here are some links to help out that I have bookmarked.
I have had a couple of situations in my past where I paid off a couple of COs and they deleted them without my asking. Definitely go the "pay for delete route" letter route. Since the obligations are as old as they are, they may be happy to take just about anything just to get it settled. See what they say. Keep copies and notes about EVERYTHING. Most assuredly get their promise in writing that they will delete for payment.
Good luck!
Yes i agree, and when these had happen i was young and not knowledgable of that! Now i know, but these accounts have both been paid for over 6 years now. Just looking to get these charge offs off my credit early so i may begin the application process for a house.
Unfortunately the LATE PAYMENTS are going to stay on your credit reports for the full seven years. You can try to dispute each late payment, usually by first writing a Goodwill Letter to the creditor where you can cite extenuating circumstances that might persuade them to forgive the late payment designation. If they do not agree, your account is going to stay "flagged" as a negative account.
