I checked my walmart free FICO score yesterday and it is showing a 0. Does anyone know why this would be or who I can contact to find out the real score? It has in fine print at the bottom that walmart is not responsible and I doubt TU is going to do anything about it.
Just now I checked my creditkarma and I know the score there is not accurate but it shows my score dropped by 75 points because a 246.00 balance reported on my FNBO Amex and a 101.00 balance reported on my Shell gas card. I am at 7% ulility. I know the score is not accurate but would small balances like that really affect your score that much??
I am really confused
* EDIT: I am looking over my credit reports now to see if anything looks off. My FNBO Amex is showing as a Flexible Spending Credit Card.....the newest balance is 246.00. Even thought it shows I have a 3500.00 credit limit and a 10.00 minimum payment due......could that be killing my score?? Are those types of accounts calculated different? That balance just posted yesterday and today my score took a dive.
What is a split file?
My creditkarma score has always been 50-60 points lower than my true FICO score.
Please see my edit in the original post.....I may have figured out the problem but I need advice....thanks!
Post and see what we can come up with some advice.
Wife's CK is 110 points lower this month than her actual FICO.
It's impossible to have a FICO score of "0". I would guess that it's a glitch when the FICO pulled data from TU. See if they have a FAQ section and see if that's in there.
Per the CK score change, anything could cause that, including a new phase in the moon. Ignore it. I've had as much as a 225 point different between my FICO and a certain FAKO (CC-enhanced TransRisk) when pulled the same day. Never put any faith into it. Your TU FICO could have increased by as many.
A split file is when the CRA (namely EQ) runs out of file space and splits the file to make room for everything in their system. It's most common with EQ, but very rarely TU, though it can happen. To rule it out, pull TU frequently from somewhere. If you see all of your accounts each time, then you wouldn't have a split file. If you see FNBO and Shell one day and then they disappear the next, then it can be indicative of a split file.
