Split file experian

I had noticed an account had never reported to exp. Thru the work of the lender, it was determined between them and exp, I had a split file. I had never heard of such a thing. While it is being corrected, they say up to 30 days, Is it something I should be concerned about?

Seems to happen to folks with Equifax all the time - haven't seen much re EX and TU. While it can cause headaches (such as inability of lenders to pull a report), it seems you caught it early and will be rectified. Happens mostly when a file becomes too large - often due to the recording of soft pulls. I'm sure others more familiar will chime in with additional info - I've haven't experienced it personally - yet. Hopefully, it'll be fixed for you soon.

Thanks. My biggest concern was fraud. Ive been a victim of that. Thankfully, my card was locked and caught it at the onset. I will keep monitoring in the meantime. Thanks for your insight.

No big deal it happens, you caught it, they fix it, shouldn’t be a problem after they fix it.
