Thanks for the links. Makes me wonder what my daughter's father could be doing. He tried once when she was a baby to have her last name changed and he claimed he got her birth certificate with just the paternity test papers. Which he did not get because i contacted vital statistics about that.

Extremely difficult and time consuming to correct a child's report.

Not all jurisdiction will allow a Theft Report if a parent is involved.

Not all Prosecutors will prosecute a parent who stole the child's identity.

This is exactly what has happened to my daughter.  She and I tried to pull her CR's, both the annual and MyFICO, and what we found really surprised us.  She couldn't understand how her twin brother was getting credit around town and she couldn't.  Her mother's name is on her CR and not her's.  It's her SSN, but her mother's name and info.  She even has one of her collections on my daughter's CR.  I posted this here when we first found it and we were told to file a report with local law enforcement.  My daughter refuses to do that.  The CRA's haven't been any help either.  Is there any info available thay will help us get her CR back in her name?
