GW letters once a month are the legitimate ticket for you. Just keep hammering away.

BTW - what are the DOFD's on all these account?

Hi CWCID...I'm still trying to sort this out in my own mind. Luckily, I haven't had to deal with it, but I want to understand it.

If most of OPs accounts were settled with the OCs, does the DOFD matter...or will the lates drop off one by one after 7 yrs?

If DOFD on OC accounts does matter, is that because these were settled or CO accounts?

I still get confused on when lates drop off individually vs when they drop off based on DOFD.

Re: Steps to Take

Yes, the DOFD still matters.  That is the date the 7 - 7.5 years go from for the account to drop off.

Lates do not drop off an account that has been sent to collections or CO'd.  That is why there is a DOFD.

Lates only drop off of an account that is still with the OC, has not been sent to collections or CO'd

Thanks...that's what I was trying to sort out in my own mind...which hasn't had nearly enough coffee yet.
