Still wondering about time..

I am kinda new to the whole credit thing but my grandparents and everyone has really taught me a lot along with this site. Now im only 19 and have had credit for about 8 months. In the form of two credit cards. One is 8 months old other is 6 so average of seven. These are the requirements for establishing a score:

·          At least one account that has been open for six months or more

·          At least one undisputed account that has been reported to the credit bureau with in the past six months

·          No indication of deceased on the credit report (Please note: if you share an account with another person this may affect you if the other account holder is reported deceased).

Does that mean that once they are all met that a score is established based on traditional factors; type, history, payments ect? I have never missed a payment and my types are limited to credit cards only but I'm very new. Does my score start at 3 and work up after the time of establishment or is it automatically higher like 650? (arbitrary number)

Re: Still wondering about time..

Hey socalev,

You should have a score now seeing that you already reached the 6 months marks. It took me only 1 CC and 6 months to get a credit score of TU 740 (PIF, flawless pymt history, and low utilization). If you have managed your cards well, you should be in the 700's no doubt.
