Stuck on pause...will somebody hit play please?

My lender pulled the final CRs today, as I am closing next week (if house is completed). Guess what my new scores are as of 1/31/08? You guessed it--no change. I have made payments (2) to my loan, yet nothing updates. I am po'd now.  How do I get the CRAs to move?

Ask your lender about Rapid Rescore -- you pay something like $30 per TL per CR to get an instant update of info.

Yeah, I was thinking about that. It ought to be worth a few points to EX and more than a few to TU, as updating my utility bill paid another month, gets further and further away from the old 90's. By golly, I think I will do it. Thanks Masdeocho.

You're welcome. Smiley Happy Do a search on the threads on the Mortgage board by Shane, and you'll find some info.  Costs $20-$35 per TL per CRA per borrower and takes 3-5 days.

Just remember that if these accounts show as installment, you might not get any score increase for your payments. And even if they're counted as revolving, the util will need to cross one of the magic levels (which we are guessing are 50%, 30%?, 20%?, 10%, and 5%) to change the scores.

I'd hate to see you pay $30/ TL for no score change.

Did your TU ever update? Mine finally did a few days ago, but others still haven't had any change. And I know you're up in TU-land.

Re: Stuck on pause...will somebody hit play please?

Dang, that stinks. I might not get any points for paying an installment loan on time? But, if I don't pay the installment loan on time, I will get crucified by Mssrs. Fair and Isaac. That's stupid.

No, TU has not updated anything since early Dec. The only debt that I have, at this time, is the installment loan, but they also report the utilities, which are on time. They were happy to report that ex-wife was 90 days pd on my report, but they can't update when it works in my favor.

I think I need to borrow EddieX's skimask for those idiots. SIGH!

I have already sent my lender my updated payment history on my loan, so that he can do the Rapid Rescore.
