Navient consolidated my 5 student loans back in August. The 5 loans are showing paid in full on Ex and Trans, but got removed from Equifax.I lost 22 points on My Equifax score to 719. Shouldn't the paid loans stay on my report for ten years?
I think I lost some of my credit age because of that . I called Equifax and they said they don't remove accounts without approval from a lender.
Navient says they didn't give Equifax notice to remove them. I can't dispute something that no longer exists and I want my points back!!
Any advice on how to proceed or should I let it go?
There is not much you can do if the creditor won't rereport them. No creditor is required to report anything (only requirement is that what they do report is accurate) and there is not a guarantee that closed accounts will stay on your reports for the full 10 years.
Sorry
I'm afraid you're correct on this issue. That makes sense dragontears !

+1
Unfortunately, once removed it is going to be extremely difficult to get them placed back on.
10 years after close is the general reporting period, but it is not a hard fast rule that they must abide by. Sometimes it is less and other times it is more with no rhyme or reason.
It definitely did lower your AAoA and in turn, your score.
Sorry they did this to you. At least they are still on the other 2 bureaus.
