ok here a little info and this is before I joined and learned couple stuff:
I received a letter from a CA and it stated that I owed 400$ for a old bill which included inflation cost... i didnt want to pay that amount so I called them and told them it isnt my account (really was mine) and would only pay the 300$ original bill and cleared from credit report. ok that was all done and taken care of... i though
so I wanted to check FICO score and joined myFICO and forum. On all 3 credit report it is says that I have a different CA reporting I still owe 300$ but they owned in 2003 - till? And the CA I paid off isnt on report. so i'm thinking.... did I just get screwed or new owner of account
I have a copy of the bill and a payment (w/ confirmation number and account number)
So my question is????? What is my next step?
Send a DV letter to second CA?? A GW letter to second CA w/ payment slip from other CA?? or send bill and payment slip to CRA stating a error on report that it was payed??
3rd one kinda worry me cause would they delete one CA and add second CA and state it paid? I want CA stuff removed from report.
