Re: T-Mobile data breach

Just wanted to put this out there to anyone else who uses T-Mobile and got an alert about the data breach. I didn't even notice it until yesterday, but if you login to you T-Mobile account and go to the area where they discuss the breach, you can take advantage of 2 years of free identity theft monitoring from McAfee.

I signed up for it yesterday and got the email this morning to finish my account set-up. Really easy and they will monitor just about anything you can think of.

Exactly what I predicted! Smiley Very Happy

I guess it's pretty standard now. It's a shame it's come to this...but with scumbags doing their dirty work, I guess it's just part of life now. The sad part is that *we* as consumers end up paying, one way or another. I mean it sounds great that T-Mobile or whichever company is giving everyone free credit monitoring, but that costs money. Guess who'll end up paying for it? Right, the very customers who received the 'free' protection.
