TU Closed an Open Card

DSRM/Valero: Removed from CR

I found this older thread which states that Valero terminated their contract with TU (and never reported to EX). My TU report shows this TL as opened and closed on the same date. This is not a closed card, just socked away. Even if they aren't contracted with TU anymore, is the closed account status still valid? Anything worth disputing? My only goal would be to have the age continue to count for me and not fall off in a couple of years.

NFCU Flagship (Daily 2% + Travel) | USAA Rewards (AoOA = 26y)

Aven Rewards (Groceries) | Chase Prime (Amazon) | Citi Custom Cash (Dining) | Elan MCP (Utilities)

EQ(F8) 784 | EX(F8) 801 | TU(F8) 800 | EQ(F9) 823 | EQ(BC8) 815

On the Radar: Langley | Kroger | AmEx | Discover

If they report it, the reporting has to be accurate, so you would have a valid dispute.  My concern would be that disputing it might just get the account removed altogether.
