TU Freeze Pin Number Question

I have my TU frozen and have the pin number, which I know works, because I used it for a BoA CLI about 10 days ago. Just talked to Credit Solutions about an increase and my pin didn't work. Is there a time limit on how often or when you can use the pin, does the number change, or anything else I should know?

Before you ask for an CLI, just temp unfreeze your TU account. I assume that's all there is to it.. Always worked for me. Number doesn't change.

Re: TU Freeze Pin Number Question

Thanks for the reply. The rep I first called asked for the pin, he might have entered some other info incorrectly. Anyway, it seems to be free if the creditor uses the pin. It's a $5 charge for me to lift. So, obviously giving the pin to the creditor is the first choice.

I did end up doing a 7-day temp lift, which has turned out to be worth way more than that little $5. To make it worthwhile, called on ALL my Synch. accts., instead of just the one I wanted increased. Thousands more on every one of them. Some have been stubborn and hadn't increased in the 2+ years I've had them.
