TU Question

Does TU use information from accounts that are not listed on your MyFico pulled report? Here's the deal, most every TU pull I have made from here shows "You recently missed a payment" and "Your most recent late payment happened 1 Month ago". When I go to the accounts that are listed, there is NOTHING past due, late, missed, bobbled or otherwise astray.

I do have an oldie that could be reporting as current but it doesn't show in my accounts on TU anywhere. Shouldn't it be listed if it is being entered into the equation? How in the world can you be sure it is correct if it doesn't tell you what it is? Frustrated.

contractor, check the status section of each TL. This is a place where lates are "known to hang out" unnoticed. Just a thought.

Re: TU Question

Byrdman, thanks, just did that and all looks fine everything is either "Paid or Paying as agreed" for current accounts or "Unrated or bankruptcy" for the old ones which were IIB.

Is really odd.

Re: TU Question

Contractor, if you have pulled out the magnifying glass, fine toothed comb and highlighter and can't find anything, then ignore it.

Sometimes the advice given on the reports, as to why you haven't made it to 850 is crazy.

If everything that should be reported as IIB, is and there are no straggling baddies, then thumb your nose at the advice.

Re: TU Question

LOL, I'm trying but I'm a little obsessive/compulsive sometimes. I HAVE to know WHY. That is a bad thing with FICO, 'cause sometimes there just is no reason for things. I'm gonna pull out my annual report and see if there is anything additional on it. Then I'll go wash my hands twelve times and iron my handkerchiefs. Smiley Wink

Re: TU Question

You may want to check this out..

It seems to be a pretty common occurance with Tu..I had it happen once before but I was fortunate enough to be able to dispute the whole account  so it disappeared.

Now I have a new late showing I know 100% isn't valid..I am taking Grannys advice and calling fico.. : )

seems to happen after a dispute when your status date changes...if you notice mine is a charge off with no lates so fico figures there must have been some lates some time and dings me accordingly with the newest status date as my missed payment date.

Re: TU Question

From look at other's information they have provided and doing some checking, this appears to be an issue with the display of the report and how the "score analyzer" (the thing that shows you what is/isn't affecting your score) reads the report. I really do not believe this is affecting score.

I would look for accounts that not reported closed yet, have updated recently, and have a late pay in the last few months of "monthly payment history".
