TU and EQ not updating.

I had a baddie removed from my reports...it hit my experian within 2 days. It's been 49 days on TU and EQ and the 30 day late is still not removed. I Re pulled my actual reports so I know it's still on there. Is this normal?

Doesn't sound right. I take it you disputed the 30-day with all 3 bureaus and received confirmation of the removal from TU and EQ? Has the trade line been reported at all 3 within the 49 days? If so, you may need to contact them again in writing, providing a copy of the documentation you received saying they would remove it.

Re: TU and EQ not updating.

Was the removal of the derog based on your filing of a dispute, and if so, what was disputed?

Re: TU and EQ not updating.

No. It was not a dispute. It was a billing error. My account was set up on auto draft through a joint marital account. My husband was killed on active duty and since our bank was military affiliated the account was closed within days of his death and an account was open in solely my name. I was (obviously) out of it. I did not even think to switch over my auto drafts 4 days after his death and they tried to pull the payment on a closed account. It came back. I got a call at the 40 day mark and immediately payed the $11 balance on the VS account (I bought lotion a couple days prior to his death ).

After joining this forum I figured I might have GW success. Emailed the CEO at 11pm...got a call the next morning at 9am...that it would be sent for removal from all 3 CU and Innovas? Electronically. It could take up to 45 days and this was like 1-26.

The woman was very helpful and I even got a letter from the CEO thanking my husband for his service and telling me to please email if I needed further help.

I'm really thinking I should just call her Monday morning...I just didn't want to bug them since they were so kind and helpful to me:/
