TU tanked 43 points!!!!!!

My TU score has dropped 43 points for no apparent reason. Compared a report from 7/28 when my score was 644 and a report from today, with a score of 601. There is no difference in the reports that I can find. Only on the "Understanding your score" page, it now says that I missed a payment as recently as "0" months ago. I have not missed any payments, opened no new account, or had any recent TU inquiries. Where do they get the "0" months ago missed payment? This is very frustrating!!!!!!

My TU dropped 30 points for no reason last month, after 13 months at above 780

Look at dates for each account, account status' (open and closed), etc.

Check each entry side by side. There is something different.

Ok I did a line by line comparison with two reports, 1 from 8/7/08 with a score of 601 and 1 from 7/28/08 with a score of 644.

Payment history----7/28---not good

                                8/1----bad

number of accounts that were ever 60 days or worse late-----7/28----10

                                                                                                   8/1-------9

You recently missed a payment--------7/28-----not there

                                                             8/1------0 mos ago

All accounts identical except an account that was reporting CO after BK was on the 7/28 report, but is not on the 8/1 report.

This account was disputed with EX and apparently deleted from all 3. My EX score went up 3 points. I still don't understand why TU dropped 43.

Do you have more accounts on your TU report, decreasing your average age more so than on your EX report? If so, this account being removed may have tanked your average age even more.

I recently disputed an account that was removed from both EQ and EX. It was a little over 5 1/2 years old.

I have lotsssssss of accounts on EQ, my score dropped 32 points.

My score dropped only 2 on EX, have lots less accounts on EX.

Nothing different except for the number of accounts. The only thing I can figure out is my average age tanked even worse losing an account that was providing 5 1/2years of history.

The impact was less on EX, because of less accounts, so average age didn't change as much.

I am reporting 23 accounts on TU and 24 accounts on EX.
