TU, what a bunch of crooks....

For three years now I have tried and I have NEVER been able to get my free annual CR from TU, and now I can't even buy one.  Guess I'll have to apply for something, get denied and see if I can get a CR that way.  What a bunch of crooks.  The guy I spoke to couldn't even speak English.  What else can you do to get a CR without damaging your score in any way?

 

Sorry if I'm venting a little.  I just feel that for something as important a consumers credit, they could at least employ English speaking representatives.  OK, I'm better now.

 

Yes, I did use annualcreditreport.com

You can mail them a letter along with a copy of your driver license, ss #, and utility bill and they will mail you your free copy. What is the reason why TU wont let you purchase your report?

The reason given was simply "unable to process request".  Nothing else.

Yeh, just go ahead and mail them your request. If you want to purchase, then you can always go to truecredit.

There is also a phone number on the website where you get your annual report, so that you can call and request your report by phone.

Man IndifferentYeh! I can kind of understtand in a way evertime I seem tointeract with someone on the phone center I seem to be talking with some person in Islamabad, or Pakistan. They probably outsource their Customer Service Reps. just as much of the Rest of the our business and banking industry has done.  But I leave that to another Thread.  I did however get the one matter however difficult through the language barrier solved.  Smiley SurprisedIt just took time and patience!
