I have a question for the forum. This is dealing with companies that take rental payments and whil reading through Real Page general terms I came across some thing that reads "we are not responsible for payments made that are not received by receipient" in other words, if real Page receives my rental payment and I receive a confirmation and print a copy as well, this is not reliable as proof of payment. Or am I reading this wrong. At the point of reading that, I am now using my bill pay from my bank to recieve the rental office proof of cashing check. Will someone with knowledge advise as this may be something I read in another contract/term. Thank you.

My best guess is that this covers them in cases where you might have a confirmation but they did not recieve the funds. For example when you input your information for the ACH maybe you miskeyed your checking account number. You might get a confirmation that you made a payment but since you used an invalid account number the funds are never removed from your account and actually sent to anyone. I had this happen one time with my cable payment.
Thank you @MakingProgress . I do agree. Allowing for mishaps is a good thing, it just seems that it could be better worded for anyone making such a large payment to a company. Signing or agreeing to terms such as these makes me nervous.
